A multidisciplinary approach to learning is adhered to at this level.  The curriculum stresses on written and oral expression, reasoning abilities, concepts and problem solving skills. Co-operative learning, debating and group discussions help students to develop listening and inter-personal skills. Emphasis is laid on all academic subjects along with Value education, Music, Art & Craft, Sports , Hobbies and Clubs.

Evaluation

We follow a scheme of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE).

The total time period of the semester is divided into periods of approximately 20 days which are followed by an assessment. There are 4 CAs per semester, designed to inculcate the habit of regular work in children.

To promote proper understanding and discourage rote learning, the questions are new/unseen and test the children's knowledge, understanding and application. A composite report card showing grades in all academic and co-scholastic areas, physical and medical fitness is given out at the end of each semester. There are no term end examinations for these classes.
